Few Words About Trust

Samarpan Basu Memorial Trust is a registered, non-profiteering voluntary organization for children. It is not a big one but still trying best to work for the welfare of children since its formation in April, 2008.  

Our Mission: To make a world of difference in the lives of  children and generate healthy atmosphere in the society.

Our Activities:

Health check-up The trust conducts health camp for underprivileged children once in a year. Very soon facility of free health check-up in the chambers of some specialised doctors will be provoded to these children.

Distribution of awards The trust instituted Samarpan Basu Award which is given to the students who secure highest marks in English and Pure Science in I.S.C. and Samarpan Basu Scholarship which is given to the student who secure highest mark in I.C.S.E. Besides academic this award is given to the best performers in other fields also.

Seminars Stress is a great problem in our life. More or less each one of us and mainly the children are the victim. Trust arrange seminar on stress, environment and humanity.  

Relief/Grants/Aids Every year trust distributes gift & food to the less fortunate children on its foundation day.

Once in a year school stationery is distributed to the financially backward students.

Trust also helps the children affected by natural calamities. Distributed relief items to the Aila affected children at Sundarban W.B.

Our Vision: Education is the prime right of every child. A large section of our population has little or no access to it. Realising that the spread of education is crucial to the development of the nation trust has a plan to start a primary school for the financially backward children to make them self sufficient and economically independent. Students will be taught the fundamental principles of human life, which contributes to building their character.

We all know that every year some students despite scoring brilliantly in 10th or 12th standard exam cannot proceed further due to financial crisis. So trust has planned to provide financial assistance to few high performing students from financially week families to enable them to persue their studies.

Trust also has a plan to start a charitable clinic, a library and to produce communication materials like books, films, documentaries, posters, audio visuals etc. 

Our effort to shape all these projects into reality need support, co-operaton and help from all corners. All donations given to the trust are exempted under 80G of I.T. act 1961. 

Person/s interested to serve the deprived children may join our organisation as honorary member/patron.
